Between the late 40’s and the early 90’s, the Unites States and the Soviet Union were undergoing military and political tensions. This period of time is commonly referred to as the “Cold War.” The Cold War was not much of a war as it was a race for technological progression and accomplishment. These three men perused their dreams of becoming the first humans to go to the moon. The United States took a drastic move forward in their expedition to get to space, becoming the first country to successfully land on the moon.
