If you wouldn’t eat your own pet, then don’t eat turkey. Many people consider turkeys to be smart animals with their own personality and characteristics. We do the same thing as any other bird and animal. We care for our babies, we make our homes, we eat, we play with each other and our owners, and we sit down and relax. But, we can’t do any of this if we get killed! How would you feel if you killed your dog and then ate him or her! Not very good now will you? You don’t want to be sick can you? Well according to a PETA investigation,“Turkey flesh is brimming with fat and cholesterol. The Huffington Post said, “Dosing turkeys with antibiotics to stimulate their growth and to keep them alive in filthy, disease-ridden conditions that would otherwise kill them poses even more risks for people who eat them. Leading health organizations—including the World Health Organization, the American Medical Association, and the American Public Health Association—have warned that the farmed-animal industry is creating possible long-term risks to human health and will spread antibiotic-resistant super germs. That’s why the use of drugs to promote growth in animals used for food has been banned for many years in Europe.” More reasons that I can make you sick. But you see, if you keep me and just feed me I won’t do anything wrong. Just what I want to do such as play, eat, and raise young birds of my own. Do you really want to end up in the emergency
