As a graduate student, I assisted in the oversight and maintenance of the print studio, mentored the undergraduate print organization, and proposed and managed a communal studio print night where undergraduates could come assist me with printing and vice versa. In addition, I mentored international graduate students in the photography darkroom, lighting studio, and digital output studio. Moreover, as an undergraduate, I worked in the photography laboratory where I oversaw and maintained equipment, chemicals, and safety regulations. I have instructed students on core photography, printmaking, and drawing principles and issues. Through independent photography workshops, I armed numerous individuals of various ages within the community with the knowledge and skills to adapt to the ever-evolving digital world. This professional experience not only gives me the capability to teach a myriad of students, but also to understand how to create an integrated curriculum that has continuity from beginning to advanced levels of study.
