They believe that experiencing the cultures of various countries is very important and something everyone should do if they have the ability. When I was younger, my family would travel to Poland and many other european countries as well. We would explore how people lived in each country and I would learn how it is different from how we live at home. This, along with being raised European and learning american culture through school, allowed me to see things from multiple different points of view. I believe that these opportunities have opened up something very special for me: a unique attitude and global perspective towards our society's problems. I do not fully commit myself to European nor American ideals. I challenge both viewpoints and try to find a medium that makes sense to me, and is the most logical and beneficial answer for the overall community. This way of viewing life has given me the skill set to solve various problems not only in life but also in school. I am constantly seeking a new solution and when I am told that there is only one way to solve a problem, i’m pretty sure that’s not true. Being Polish is part of my Identity and has shaped me into who I am today. My unique situation has opened my eyes to what could be a major step in solving our world's biggest problems. Diversity. We, as a society, need people to be more accepting and open to everyone’s unique design. We need to get rid of our social barriers and work together to find solutions that take into consideration people of all races and walks of life. This requires people that are willing to problem solve. People that will throw away old practices that lead to failure and start to think of innovative solutions that can truly make a difference.
