The United States follows a presidential election process, which initially each political party select a nominee. Later on, those candidates campaign across the country to present their plans and views to the voters, as well as participate in debates facing the candidate from the opposite party. After a year of campaign, comes the general election were the American citizens go out to the polls and elect their future president.

Established in 1790 by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. According to Democrats.org "Democrats believe that we're greater together than we are on our own—that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same rules.....is focused on building an economy that lifts up all Americans, not just those at the top." Democrats are liberals who believe that the government can make big changes, for better, in peoples lives. And on the other hand we have the Republican party, also known as the Grand Old Party (GOP), founded in 1854, was created by a group of abolitionists in order to fight the expansion of slavery. This group wanted to focus on the freedom and equal opportunity of the U.S. citizens during that era. For year America has maintain their two-party system. Their purpose is to ease the voter choice by lacking their options and keep in it with only two parties. From one side this system is serving well the country because having two parties are more stable than multiple parties. It is easier to maintain two parties on stand. However, the two-party system is irritating some of the citizens due to the lack of choices. Both parties have began to some similarities which the citizens start disliking about the parties. Voters start to get disinterested of the two major parties. Now a days voter want to be heard, they want to be part of the decisions made by their
