1.1 Polyurethane polyurethanes were first developed by Otto Bayer and coworkers in 1937. Shortly thereafter, Schollenberger and coworkers used formula modification to prepare elastomeric polyurethane products from Bayer's products that were like nylon or other engineering plastics in physical characteristics. PUs are widely used in coatings, flexible and rigid foams, elastomers, and composites. Reasons for the use of polyurethane coatings include: high performance characteristics such as flexibility, toughness, strength, and abrasion resistance; chemical resistance such as water, detergent, many industrial chemicals, and stain resistance; good light stability and low temperature-cure characteristics [1].

1.5 Coating
Application of organic coatings is the most common and cost-effective method for corrosion control and enhance the durability of metallic structures. Protective Coatings for corrosion protection can be divided into two broad groups: metallic and nonmetallic (organic and inorganic) [9].
1.6 Aim of study
In this study, we plan to evaluate the soil of three areas with high corrosivity compared to other areas and to investigate the role of polyurethane coatings to protect the buried pipeline against the soils of these zone.
1.7 Methodology
At first, samples were taken from three areas reported by the corrosion department of Iranian oil pipeline and telecommunication company (I.O.P.T.C).
The sample of soils were analysed in the soil laboratory so that prepare the simulated soil solution (SSS A).
Also, secondary simulated soil solution (SSS B) was prepared by vacuum pump and a Buchner funnel after that the saturated soil is prepared.
These are two simulated soil solution (SSS A& SSS B) was considered as a similar solution of each soil.
The specimen of pipe was prepared and then cleaned and so coated whit polyurethane and exposed by simulated soil solution (SSS A & SSS
