AFLAC promises a customer that they can expect things that major medical doesn’t pay for such as gas, rent, food, and even cash! An offer for coverage for every need is extended to a potential customer by this company. AFLAC send a message that they will take care of the customer during time of need. The commercial expresses how quick this company is at getting a claim processed and even encourages a consumer to ask about this insurance at the their work place. This indicates that word of mouth will also help promote the benefit offered. Benefits are offered that a supplemental insurance cannot offer, which include lost pay. They gear their commercials toward the customer that is unable to work due to some form of injury which is important due to the fact that when one is trying to pay monthly bills and has no income coming in to help support their cause this policy will prove beneficial.
The two insurance companies, Progressive and AFLAC do have similar strategies. They both use comedy to promote and grab the attention of the consumer. Making promises and encouraging customers to do business with them is evident with both of these companies. Communication is the key that these marketers use in explaining and promoting the value that is being offered by their company.
