Pericardial amebiasis is a complication that causes fever, abdominal pain, chest pain, heart failure, acute perforation with cardiac tamponade and shock. Cerebral amoebiasis can result death within 12-72 hours without treatment. It shows symptoms of mental states and amebic brain abscess. Rectovaginal fistulas and vulvar lesions cause genitourinary amebiasis in females and penile amebiasis in men. Acute intestinal amebiasis shows blood dysentery, diarrhea, abnormal discomfort and flatulence. Chronic amebiasis produces symptoms of weight loss, fatigue and occasional diarrhea. Ameboma are granulomatous lesions found in the cecal and rectosigmoid of the colon in the individuals. (Acharya, 2016)

It is dose of 25-35 mg/kg given three times a day for 7 days. In addition to that Diloxanide furoate (500 mg tds for 10 days) and iodoquinol (650 mg tds 20 days) can be used in treatment. Mild symptomatic individuals who only pass cyst are recommended with Diloxanide
