Question 5:
Ergonomics is the study of the physical relationship between people and the work environment. Ergonomics is important to reduce and prevent hazards, lower health and safety risk and improve workplace efficiency. Work satisfaction is also increased and fatigue is decreased.
Question 6:
To set up workplace ergonomically correct it must be personalised to the needs of the individuals desk and body. Always use adjustable keyboards as to set the correct height and angle. Make sure monitor is at or just below eye level never above the head. the lighting should be moderately bright. Don't lean forward, position hips slightly higher than knees but so the feet are flat on the floor. Have frequent breaks. Position the monitor to minimize glare. Place the monitor typically 16-28cm/note some ergonomics specialist state a minimum of 20cm is recommended. The refresh rate should be 75hz or higher to reduce flicker.
Question 7:
Regular breaks should be taken every 30 minutes to reduce fatigue and maximise productivity.
