The differences between radical behaviorist and a mentalist perspective are behaviorist perspective believes their environment is responsible for learning(Moore, 2012). So, if the learner is presented with a stimulus continuously, then one should respond the same way until it becomes a habit. Where as the mentalist perspective states; the mind is responsible for learning in an environment. When one applies teaching to a mentalist approach study show that the learner uses cognitive abilities in order to learn(Moore, 2012). An example of mentalistic approach would be he feels sad because he is crying, no evidence of why he’s crying but you are projecting.

At this school teacher had to adapt to students learning abilities. So, teachers used Go Talks and Icons to help the learner chose the correct answers, rewarded them with edibles. This is why teachers used simple skills in order for the learner to carry out a simple task in a controlled environment.
