Finding out who you are is very important in finding the correct career for you and that fits your needs and/or wants. In textbook Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs expresses and demonstrates all the necessary things we needs to become happier in life. Starting simply from the basics that we all need, food, water, warmth and rest. The next level, which is safety, includes the protection from danger, security, and stability. This level is important for a building block to get a person 's confidence back and take a step into their future. The next step on Maslow’s Hierarchy is Love and Belongingness. All the parts that make up this stage are love, acceptance, and belongingness. This is important in the ages between 20 and up because this is the time in people’s lives where they start constructing families, or intimate relationships with others. Esteem is the next category and seems to be the hardest for people to find within themselves. This category holds achievement, competence, recognition, and respect for others. People with low self-esteem find it hard to work constructively or positively. We all are negative in some way, which gives us all a wall to break through to get into this stage in our lives. The highest step in the hierarchy of needs is Self-Actualization; this is when a person has their fulfillment of potential. In this stage, people have normally found their dream job, have a wonderful family that is being supported, and is living life the way it should be.
