Scientists have introduced cruelty-free testing methods that can save the lives of millions of animals. In vitro testing, models of human cells and tissues are made. These tests are not only saving animals, but are more effective and accurate. Computer simulations are another alternative as well along with stem cell and genetic testing models. Fortunately, artificial human skin and eyes can be made to use in testing. The Draize test is obsolete as synthetic cellular tissue has been developed Eyetex is another example of alternative testing that harms no animals. An eye model reacts to harmful substances by turning opaque in similarity to the way a human eye reacts. Many harmful tests can be put to rest by the replacement of harmless testing techniques. These are not the only options that exist, there are many more as well that can decrease the harm done to the environment. The use of animal testing is unnecessary due to the fact methods no longer requiring alternative methods of toxicity testing are available that have been proven to be accurate and reliable and do not require live …show more content…
Many skin products are tested on animals for allergic reactions. Often times the skin of these animals becomes irritated, and a reaction may occur. Eye products are also often times tested on animals. The products are tested for eye irritation and may irritated an animal 's eye. Chemicals are put on bare shaved skin and dripped into eyes without any pain killers. Alternatives to animal testing have been found, but companies continue to test their products on animals. A few companies have heard the cries of these suffering animals and have found alternatives to animal testing. Many companies sell organic products that do not require the use of animal testing. Using our voices, we can get all companies to stop testing their products on
