1.0 Introduction of Culture
According to the Luthans (2012), it explains that the culture is to obtain the knowledge that people use to interpret their experience and generate the social behavior. Besides that, culture also consists of some characteristics which are symbolic, being learned and shared and also adaptive. In addition, the culture in the globalization is all include religion, education, language, social structure, political and economic. The values and beliefs will lead to the group of people on the community to behaving and acting in an appropriate manner. In this short period of time, I will be facing cultural communication problems from the beginning. In Malaysia and Japan, they work as a group oriented, whereby they got their own ideas and will shared their ideas or experiences within the group member in the organization. However, according to Hartog (1999) he said that the Malaysian manager are mostly into substantive style and showing that the Malaysian manager are more individualism in manage leadership than Japan. During of the first month when I arrived in Japan, I feel a lot of unfamiliar with the culture in Japan especially it is hard for me to communicate with the Japanese since I had different language from Malaysia. However, I tried my best to communicate slowly with them by using the simplest English to convey my message to them. After that, I had decided myself to learn Japanese language in order for me to communicate well with the Japanese. Learning Japanese can be a very challenging thing for me it is because I have to start all over from the basics of the conversation. The difficulty of learning Japanese language is the reading and writing Japanese characters. There are very complex and difficult to master. As thing goes on, I started to speak Japanese to them. Surprisingly, the Japanese are very forgiving of language mistakes and they also try to correct me with the correct pronunciation and words. Moreover, after few month later I been working with the Japanese. I start to accept the way how they work and get myself into it. The Japanese is very competitive in the workplace they are willing to go extra mile from the competition. In addition, the Japanese most concerned about the punctuality and they rarely attend to meetings or appointments even a minute late. If
