Alpha Phi’s philanthropy consists of supporting Women’s Heart Health. Phi Sigma Sigma’s philanthropy involves with school and college readiness. The third day of formal recruitment was preference night. During preference night, I got to talk to one girl from Sigma Kappa named Katie. I was able to talk to her on the first night of recruitment and was lucky enough to talk to her during the last night. I was able to really connect with her. We talked about our lives and ourselves. Although this night is supposed to be more serious, I really felt home in Sigma Kappa. Sigma Kappa showed us a little preview of some of their rituals. The fourth and last day of recruitment weekend was bid night. Bid night consists of a lot of girls too excited to contain themselves. This is the night were I figured out which sorority I got in to. I was so excited to learn that I made it into Sigma Kappa. When I finally got to be with them, I felt right at home. They all welcomed me with hugs and a t-shirt to put on. I now had over 30 new sisters. Although my two new friends Hannah and Haleigh went to Alpha Phi, we are still close and talk almost every
