Pasteur has been involved in personal experiments and discoveries for months prior to his public display of discovery. As part of his demonstration, he asked for a donation of 60 sheep, 2 goats, 1 ox, and 9 cattle, from the Agricultural Society of Melun, France, to be his test subjects. His plan involved offering the Anthrax vaccination to one half of his subjects. Two weeks later, he would inject a heavy dose of the bacteria into each subject. He promised that those who had been vaccinated would survive with little to no side effects. Yet the does would certainly be enough to take the life of every other unvaccinated host. The results were flawless, and many were converted to the methods that were presented. Louis Pasteur’s discoveries have been instrumental towards the discovery of vaccines, bacteria functions, and disease
