Undeniably because we are rooted in and exist based on evolution; it isn't a no brainer to why we change. For example, all, though Gregor was marginalized to a bug; he did all that was in his power to shade from the truth. Inevitably he still had to change mentally regardless of how he thought otherwise. As stated in the Metamorphosis,”How about if I sleep a little bit longer and forget all this nonsense” (pg.94). This shows that Gregor initially tried to ignore the change regardless of his new found physical attributes. However, since change is bilateral; it may have a negative or positive effect. Our response is necessary because it affects the many decisions and thoughts we make, and from time to time it can differentiate from whether we are emotionally stable or physically well to stand for ourselves. We also have to understand what change is, and the act of making or becoming different. The perspective of life we perceive may change at any second, and at an unpremeditated point how we view the world is being reconfigured. Therefore it would be completely logical that our response to change is not only vital to life but vital as a whole. Our quality of life meaning the way we act, understand, and set morals within ourselves depends upon the response that we make to the sudden appearance of change. ”When the wind of change blows some build walls while others build windmills”
