4.9e. Reverse Logistics Costs: Factor - ' Devising appropriate policies for Reverse logistics '. A total of 34 SME’s (12.7 percent) responded that - ' Devising appropriate policies for RL' is Highly important factor of Reverse logistics costs.171 SME’s (63.8 percent) responded that- 'Devising appropriate policies for RL ' was an important factor of RL costs. 63 SME’s (23.5 percent ) responded that ' Devising appropriate policies for Reverse logistics ' was somewhat important to RL costs. Majority of the SME’s (76.5 percent) indicated that ' Devising appropriate policies for Reverse logistics ' is Important to highly important factor for RL costs. Remaining 23.5 percent also indicating that - ' Devising appropriate policies for Reverse logistics ' is somewhat important for RL costs. Hence the SME’s need to devise appropriate polices for RL so that they can focus on RL costs. These comprise standardization of procedures, defining tasks and responsibilities, sharing essential knowledge. It implies that the rules, instructions, procedures are well established and written. The appropriate decision guidelines about proper recovery options to be outlined. An established formal program is beneficial to both internal and external …show more content…
Collaboration is a broad term and can happen in various areas of forward and reverse supply chain. Collaboration can be built on sharing of quality information and extending trust between the supply chain members. The supply chain partners should strive for developing effective collaborative objectives, common performance measures, sharing of rewards and risks and forming alliances. Once a positive relationship is there it helps for further integration of processes in the whole supply chain particularly in RL. Hence collaboration is vital to superior RL
