The novel really stayed with me mainly because it’s a wonderful novel and the book showed me what life can be like or what people actually go through on a daily basis. Tears of a Tiger is about three teen boys that won a basketball game and to celebrate, they decided to drink. While on the way home from drinking, they were in an auto accident and soon after the car hit impact the vehicle burst into flames. Two of the boys were able to make it out of the fire, but the other teen did not make it out. One of the teens that made it out of the fire was Andy. In addition, he received help immediately by a therapist. One day the therapist went out of town and the therapist told Andy if he needed any help to call. Andy tried calling him that night and there was no answer. That night Andy’s mom and sister returned home and saw blood leaking from the ceiling. Andy had shot himself because he felt there was no other way to get rid of the pain he was dealing with. Even though, this novel is chilling it is life and it does happen. Third, not being read to as a child puts an impact on an adolescent. On the other hand, I learned a bulk of information on my own. Even though, it would have been easier with help but it is possible to achieve task without help by others. Furthermore, I had to work harder in my classes and study more than most people. Even though, it was difficult I enjoyed learning. There so much to learn in life and theres always new
