The Safeguards of Liberty
Throughout the evolution of civilizations, ranging as far back to 2300 B.C. Samaria were the cuneiform inscription originates (earliest written appearance of the word “freedom” or “liberty” (Quigley. 1), hitherto, the cries and grievances for freedom continue as the injustices of the past willfully sail into our time, 2024, with gusts dating back to the ancients. From Oliver Cromwell’s short-lived republic in 17th century England to Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence; the tyranny that stripped our ancestors of their natural rights has fallen for eternity and replaced with the elements of democracy. This glorious change in government institutions and the foundation established for us by our founding fathers 238 years ago at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia has now been called to question and reform. This call for direct-democracy would allow our fellow citizens to rule on the constitutionality of all Federal, State, and City laws will certainly be the fall of our great nation. Are fellow citizens are exhausted from labor (Chomsky 87 and Friedman 10) and do not have the time to educate themselves on the constitutionality of 3 new daily issues.
