I am able to manage challenging behavior effectively, conduct activities safely and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Further, I am very creative and enjoy sourcing materials that make learning interesting. Most importantly, my ability to work well with others, motivate and inspire is a very significant contribution that I am confident I can bring to the course and into the classroom.
By fostering good relationships with staff, pupils and parents it is possible to provide a holistic educational experience that compliments the child’s extra-curricular life as much as possible. Through following the advice of my mentors in this role, I have become adept at building these relationships, and can successfully guide children through the day’s activities. My work experience has demonstrated the importance of the teacher/caregiver role in both the child’s life and education and emphasised the huge responsibility, and the hard work needed to meet that responsibility.

Living in the United Kingdom we are blessed with equal opportunities and the right to education. However, I have learned, from work experience and education myself, that this too can be a curse. A curse because education is underappreciated. Thus, I believe that as teachers it is crucial to implement the importance and availability that we have for education here in the UK. Primary school is not only essential for learning and development, but to engage children in a love for education and a desire to learn, rather than being seen as an obligation.
Psychology has also taught me that the early years of our life are fundamental to ones future.
