Antigens love for polyneices causes many problems for not only herself but also for others. “Take this hand of mine to bury the dead…challenge Creon to his face” (195) Although Antigone knows burying her brother is civilly wrong, she still chooses to do it because it's morally right. Furthermore, because Antigone was blinded by love and emotion it caused her to make a rash decision that later brought many negative affects. “And in the farthest corner we could see her hanging with anoose of linen round her neck.”(246) If Antigone had just waited a little longer she would have been freed, but instead she killed herself which later caused more deaths. Once again driven by love and overwhelming emotions Antigone made a bad decision that later negatively affected many others. “Drawing a double-hooted sword lunged but missed.”(246) Although Haemon loved his father even though he wanted to punish Antigone, once he finally went through with it and Antigone died he could not forgive him. Additionally, Haemon had so much anger towards his father that all of his love for him vanished. “Convulsed with self-hatred and despair, pressed against that sword and drove it home…”(246) Haemon was so hurt by his father that all he could think about was revenge and hurting Creon the way he hurt him.
