In all three stories the gifts that are bestowed upon the princess are all desirable character traits for a woman> they are all things men would desire in woman > both the original and most famous versions are written by men, so these traits could be what men would desire in their perfect girl during that time.
A similarity of all three is that as soon as the prince and princess look into each other’s eyes they fall instantly in love, this enforces the theme of especially the most popular and movie version that true love has utter faith and never questions itself.
Differences
In the original, ironically, the prince does not infact wake up the princess but is rather beside her when she wakes up> whereas in the Grimm and Disney version the prince is the one to save her. …show more content…
But in the Charles Perrault and the Grimm’s versions things are more tragic and in a way more realistic.
In the original version, the fairy was the one to put the castle to sleep, they didn’t just fall asleep like in the other versions> one reason for this could be because the moral of the original is about love but not so much the love of the prince but the love of the fairy> she was the one to save the princess and also was the one who put everyone she loves asleep so they could be with the princess at her
