Dialect is the language of an area such as Birmingham, London or Liverpool. In each area people use different language features as an example in Birmingham, people do not pronounce the letter ‘T’ and in Liverpool people speak with ‘Scouse’ accent they ‘chocka’ which means ‘busy’.
Sociolect is a language of a social group who live in an area and use different words from the other group who lives in the Same area. For example, most of the people who live in Birmingham call bread ‘ bread roll’ but there are some other group who lives in the same area call it ‘ cab’ or ‘bap’.
