Introduction
Culture is regarded as a set of shared norms such as convictions, values, and desires by a specific part of a populace that makes them unique to the other sections of the population (Hardison). According to a Mexican scholar Carlos Fuentes, the Mexican culture is considered one of the most intricate cultures in North America. Most people consider this culture to be a one of deep religion and high social disorder ridden with a contradiction over the spiritual and the material. All in all, this culture remains a paradox as it 's characterized by deep Catholic ties, savagely brutal criminal groups, humble poverty ridden farmers, and a sensuality of the Mexican culture (Mente). According to Burr, this theory involves a general social outlook which is inspired based on a common or similar perspective of the world by a segment of people in this case people of a similar culture. It is founded on observation and how it inspires critical thinking that leads to challenging the conventional knowledge. Consequently, the group creates a model of the world in which they all assume is correct in comparison to the world they exist in (Burr). Hence, in this culture, the group observed the world around them in which most states that were thriving were democratic while they remained stuck in a single party system. It is crucial to note when holidays are relative to a custom they are regarded as calendar customs while if they are relative to an annual event, they are considered to as festivals. In Mexican wedding customs, an event of marriage cannot take place even be planned before a committee of the man 's friends and family approach the woman 's family and request the family 's permission. In fact, the woman’s mother can set the number of dates and require that the woman be accompanied by a relative or family member on dates. However, in areas such as America where the culture has been influenced, the mothers have let go of micromanaging their daughter 's love life (West). These forms of changes are the sources of fears on the extinction on the traditional and cultural values. This is evident in various instances, for example, while in America certain animal laws illegalize animal abuse, in Mexico; cock and bull fighting are extremely popular events. It is rational to predict that in the future American influence may lead to the stop of these popular events.
