Apparently from what I learned in class this has to do with the “social penetration theory” and also the “comparison level of alternatives” (CL ALT). I stayed around because of self-disclosure, I was vulnerable to him, I was an onion completely shredded. Also, physical intimacy took place, which is a very intimate moment in a relationship, because of this deep intimacy it made me become even more attached.
