However, if you make good choices and take care of yourself your life can be prolonged. Driving under the influence has become a growing problem and an increasing threat on the roads. In America 28 people die from impaired driving every 53 minutes. Driving impaired has been a problem in the United States since the invention of automobiles; however, it did not become an important social issue until the 1980s. Drunk driving campaigns have steadily increased over the years. In this advertisement/PSA a teenager is shown leaving for the big dance. After the dance he goes to a house party, after consuming multiple drinks he gets a text message asking to pick her up from the dance. In the text message she assures him that he is probably okay to drive. Moments later he gets in a car crash that ultimately takes his life. At the end of the PSA it shows an officer approach the house and inform the parents that their oldest child has passed away.
