In this critique I will analyze my presentation on the Vietnam War Which was given on April 5th of 2018. The main purpose of my presentation was twofold, first it was to prove the work I have done over the past month in educating myself on the Vietnam War. Second it was to communicate facts and information about the Vietnam War. This project was done as one of three projects that stand in between me and graduating at the end of the year. It is an example of all the ways I have grown and changed in the past four years. However there are many areas of my presentation skills that could benefit from improvement. I had lots of Information in my presentation and had organized it in a linear fashion. This proved that I had learned about the topic I was presenting and knew what I was talking about. Because I was learned in my subject this gave me the power to answer the questions I was asked at the end of the presentation. There were also many struggles in my presentation. I must admit that this is not an example of one of my better presentations. First, one of the reasons I struggled was because I had wrote cue cards only to discard the introduction card. This affected the flow of the presentation as seen when I searched the cards for a fact I did not find. This also affected my presentation because instead of referencing the cards I looked back at my slides.
Second, the voice I used for my presentation was too soft. I have been struggling with volume control my whole life I still have not achieved being able to raise my volume without feeling that I am shouting. The use of fillers in between sentences was also rampant in my presentation, this again stems from the abandonment of cue
