Problem no. 1. How did the participants encounter maritime accidents onboard?

Participant No. 1 • I encountered one (1) accident onboard ship and it was grounding.
• I was onboard in a Cargo vessel and our ship didn’t produce any alarm during the accident

1 Participant no. 1, second officer from NAESS shipping company, encountered one maritime accident and it was grounding. He said that after they loading nickel ore in the port, when they maneuvering back from their destination, their ship ran aground due to the bad weather. During that accident, he mendtioned that their ship did not produced any alarm to inform them that they were aground. It was happen in the year 1990’s. Fortunately, there were no casualties and there were no damages to their ship.
Participant no. 2 Participant no. 2, an able-bodied seaman from Pep Nautica, encountered one maritime accident and it was grounding. He said that during the time when he was onboard in a General cargo ship, they ran aground because of the negligence of the pilot. He stated that “nagdiskarga kami sa Cambodia at pabalik kami ng Singapore, na aground ang barko namin sa Mekong river”. During that accident, their ship did not produce any alarm. It was happen in the year 1980’s. Luckily, there were no casualties and there were no damages to their ship.

2, the one who encountered grounding, stated that the root cause why ther experienced grounding was because of the pilot they hired. He said that “Ayun na nga pagkakamali ng piloto kase ang piloto ang nagdadala ng barko, kung ikaw ay able-bodied seaman magtitimon timon ka lang kung ano ang sasabihin niya yun lamang ang susundin mo”. So he followed what the pilot’s command but their ship ran aground. He knew that it was the main reason why it happened because he didn’t knew the depth of the water in the river that is why they ran aground.
Particiant no. 3 Participant no. 3, the one who encountered fire onboard, stated that the root cause why they experienced fire onboard was because of the fault of his co-crew. He mentioned that his co-crew left the dryer on while his silk cloth was inside and got burned because of too much heat. He knew that it was the root cause because after the accident, his co-crew clearly told them why it was happened. His co-crew mentioned that he left the dryer on for a long period of time that’s why his cloth got burned.
