On tip found to increase the visibility of a candidate rèsumè, is to include specific verbiage from within the companies initial job posting, without going overboard (Smith, 2014). For example, if within the companies posting they mention needing someone who can “keep detailed records”, listing this within the specific skills section of the rèsumè can draw a recruiters attention. A specific issue this author ran into, was knowing what to include, and what not to include. There are jobs that are from ten years ago, which have good qualities, but from a decade ago. This is generally considered to be to distant to be qualifiable, and should be excluded from the rèsumè as is will generally be viewed as obsolete (Levin-Epstein, 2012). In addition, a candidate should avoid listing to many generalities, bloated words, and useless duties under each specific job. Keeping your experience in your pervious roles as short on concise as possible is recommended. In addition, if applying for a job in another county, the candidate should include anything that would highlight their ability to adapt and assimilate to new situations and environments.
