However, there are many ways Erik affected Paul but here's a big one. “As scared as I was of Erik he held an important part of the eclipse story if he died the that part of the story would die with him.” (Pg 55)This shows how Erik wouldn't tell Paul about why he was blind but only told him parts to why he is blind. Erik bullied Paul for being blind and teased him and that affected him immensely.

There is also how his parents showed how they loved Erik more than Paul. They loved Erik more because Erik was an athlete who played football and Paul was a kid with a disability. Paul noticed all of this and was hurt, but didn't stop pushing.
Consequently, Erik changed Paul in many ways and he bullied him which ,caused Paul to change,Paul in the beginning did not handle the bullying well but learned to ignore it and that's what made him stronger. Erik is just an older brother who affected his younger brother's life. Paul was constantly bullied, but he never let it get him down he continued pushing.
