“Vegetarianism”
The collaborated work called “Vegetarianism” found in the article Opposing Viewpoints by Gale. Describes a brief description of a vegetarian diet, a diet closely followed by the action of not eating meat. Humans are classified as omnivorous creatures. That means that we can sustain ourselves eating grains, fruits, vegetables and protein. However, many will argue that meat is needed for the body to get protein. The truth is that there is a significant amount of protein that has been found in different kinds of vegetables such as, quinoa, edamame, almonds and so many others. The topics for this article are well presented in a way that is easy to read, while engaging the audience. The topics intended for the public consists of the explanation of the different shades of vegetarians, a short story of Vegetarianism and the modern arguments in favor of Vegetarianism. The Critics of Vegetarianism visualize a world around a butchery they do not see more than a great hamburger or a hot dog. The fact that non vegetarians harm innocent animals to “sustain themselves “ creates a controversy among vegetarians, lacto - ovo vegetarians and vegans. The lacto - ovo vegetarians are a group of people who are against the cruelty of the process of sacrificing any animal life, they exclude meat but they consume dairy products, eggs, vegetables, fruit and honey while a vegan diet is more drastic than the vegetarian because it excludes Dairy products, eggs and honey. Vegetarianism is an argument vegetarians believe that meat should not be eaten because a person could simply consume meat in moderation but still be part of the big environmental problem that vegetarians and non vegetarians face. One may wonder what the problem is between the environment and animals as a main source of food. By going vegetarian, population can reduce dramatically the impact of rainforest destruction, climate change, and pollution, while saving water and reducing the human environment footprint per
