Arlington, Texas - Three servers from the local Cracker Barrel know all the tips and tricks to getting the best tips and staying on top of the game when it comes to serving. Angelique Ochoa has been a server for just under a year and believe that it is her bubbling personality that gives her the edge in getting tips from her customers. “If you are rude to them and act like you don’t care about the customers, I guarantee that you would be lucky enough to even get two dollars from the,” says Ochoa. “I want them to know that I’m here to give them the best experience possible, so every time they come back they can request me as their server,” It is all about trying to make regulars here.” …show more content…
Which lead to three different evaluation on customers; “For me, if I get assigned a large party of 6 or more in my section, that is when I usually get the most tips for one party,” says Ochoa. “I have learned that the larger the party, the larger the tip will be because I already know the type of service I will give in order to get an amazing tip. Small parties do not tend to tip really well unless I personally know them.” For Acosta, he relies on his regulars that he has accumulated over the years to tip him the most. “My regulars are the ones who tip me the most because they have known me for a while and know my personality,” says Acosta. “They know I will get the job done. In my opinion, the ones who tip less are those who come out to eat yet cannot afford to tip me for my service. That is the worst.”
