There are different causes that lead to diabetes. If a person inherits a predilection of the disease, then something in the environment surrounding that one person can cause a trigger. One of the triggers for getting type 1 diabetes is the cold weather. An early diet can be another factor of being diagnosed with type 1. With type 2, diabetes it is mostly connected with a family history, but like type 1, type 2 also is an environmental factor of why a person contracts it.
