Going back to school to earn a bachelor’s degree, for instance, not only provides job seeking candidates with a unique skillset for a degree that they are working on but also a method which most of employers use to assess whether these candidates have a greater ability to think analytically as well as the problem solving skills under high pressure. Additionally, while non-college graduate candidates look forward to professions in non-skilled positions, college graduates with an Associate’s degree will find themselves qualified for a much higher pay. Candidates with college degrees will have a greater job stability. During the nearly recession of the United States economy, the huge number of companies increasingly cut jobs and laid off hundreds of non-college educated employees even for the career fields required no college degree, “typically those at the bottom of the totem pole-positions requiring unskilled labor” and during an economic downturn, “the unemployment rate among college graduate is substantially lower than the unemployment rate among employees with only a high school diploma.” (Business news daily). Moreover, applicants with college thinking skills will be more satisfied with their professions than those with a non-college degree. Problem solving, for instance, can be resolved and applied to the current professions more effectively and quickly based on knowledge and experiences which college graduates were trained and gained while at school. Also, having a college degree, an employee will not only be able to search for higher paying professions but also to get employed with well-paid benefits and job advancement opportunities.
