New members develop an understanding of themselves, their relationship to the chapter, and the Fraternity as a whole. The New Member Experience is comprised of a six-week curriculum, which is supplemented by Aspirations — a hard-copy keepsake book given to each member as a resource and welcome gift. Beyond the New Member Experience, all of our members benefit from Every Member Education.
The chart to the right outlines the structure for education that falls under each pillar. The courses are meant to cover a variety of topics beyond the Kappa experience, including personal, professional and intellectual development.

The Kappa chapter at NAU will be expected to meet or exceed the all-sorority average on campus. We expect every member of our chapter to positively contribute to this average.
New members must demonstrate an academic interest and have attained at least a “B+” average or its equivalent under any other grading system from high school or at least a “B-“ average or its equivalent under any other grading system for the previous completed term as a full-time student at a college or university.

Kappa encourages women to make a difference. When it comes to philanthropic endeavors, we put an emphasis on service to others and raising funds. Like NAU students, our members find inspiration in creating a better environment that affects positive change.
Our philanthropic ideology focuses on efforts in three areas: local organizations, Reading Is Fundamental and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.
We know inspiration often comes from personal connections.
