There are many ways to describe traditional and modern such as old is gold and modernity is future. Theses are words we hear a lot when growing up or maybe still do when your parents hear an old song during their era or maybe when you teach them how to face time on a iPhone. Traditions will always be golden it shows respect, values, and humbleness. Modernity associates with upbeat, young, and how the future will be. Chueh-Hui being scared couldn’t say the truth to his grandfather. Chueh-Hui rebellions is known to his elders as well therefore they also strike back at him. All Chueh-Hui had to say was that he was at a protest siting and let go of it, but by lying to his grandfather he shows that he does not have respect for him nor his ideologies. In conclusion every generation has different thoughts and ideologies. Parents and Grandparents will always think for the better of their child. It doesn’t mean that their decision can be right all the time sometimes it can be wrong. Children need to understand that there are two sides to a coin and it is up to them to make whatever side it lands on happy for themselves and their parent.
