Foremost, through commercial media such as flyers, newspapers, journalism and along with muckraking reporting. Today we use mass media through television, radio, the internet and most recent social media such as blogs, Facebook, websites, podcast, as well as YouTube. We have a variety of ways the government can reach the public, therefore we have no reason why we wouldn’t understand Politics, because every time you turn on your local channel we either have ABC, NBC, CBS news or your internet reporting on current Politics. The significant concept of political literacy in the media gives us the opportunity to explore and educate ourselves through all these communication options. There are two systems of models that demonstrate how the opinions of the public influence or should influence the public policy. They are described at the delegate model and the trustee model. The delegate model representative focuses on the politicians’ voters that elected him, as he isn’t so much focused on his beliefs but rather the changes to make the people happy, and the trustee delegates representative holds a wider view of what’s important in all society as well as taking the concerns of the Politicians personal
