Changing lives by robots would cause a great importance of robotics in the healthcare field but robots are still important for doctors, nurses and patients with their small jobs. Professor Roger Atkins from the University of the West of England indicates that “Medical robotics has lots of potential to transform the quality of life of every single one of us. If you can put bones back together, then people can walk again. What is more important than that?”( Piesing, 2014). On the other hand, robots do not need to have the ability to put bones back together for now; they still have an important place. For instance, small inventions like The Freehand surgical robot are more accurate and cheaper than a nurse for a hospital. This robot is a camera held in the iron grip of a robotic arm and supplies great vision ability to the surgeon. It has been estimated that this robot can help to speed up operations by 10% by improving the quality of the image a surgeon sees on their monitor(Piesing,2014,p.5). Another innovation which assists safer treatments with in a way more economical is Blood-Clots Remover Robotic Needle. This small invention is many times more accurate than a surgeon when it is in the brain. Studies of Robert Webster, who is director …show more content…
It is a controversial issue whether technological communication types make people less sociable or not but it is obvious that the innovations in technology enhance people’s abilities of making contact with each other and makes it in an easier way. Keith Hampton, who is a professor in Communication and Public Policy of Rutgers University’s school of Communication and Information, indicates that people are now more addicted to communication and relationships. Hampton also states that in studies with his students and collaborators, they found that cell phone and the Internet users, and especially those who use social media, tend to have more diverse and a larger of close relationships and what has changed is that communication technologies have made many of people’s relationships more persistent and pervasive (Rosen & Hampton, 2015). A different approaching to the technological innovations is societies. In today’s era, every society is network society; that is, a society constructed around personal and organizational networks powered by digital networks and communicated by the Internet(Rosen & Hampton, 2015) . This means that humanity has no boundaries anymore. To review, what technological innovations have contributed to the life standards in the communication age is increasing everyone’s link with each
