Purpose
Each of these theories form the basis of what theorist believe is the best way to motivate others to serve those under one’s leadership and to encourage teachers to best educate their students (Giltinane, 2013). This is debatable, since the main emphasis of the leadership theory is the exact opposite of this criticism that has been stated by critics. In addition, transformational leaders have been critiqued as tending to create a cult of personality where leaders can pick and choose the employees they want to advance based on their support of a charismatic leader.
Perhaps the answer to this accusation is that whatever style of leadership that is in force in an organization, it is logically always the most energetic and experienced who rise to the top of management first.
