It will also analyse a range of media products in the form of newspaper pullouts, magazines, review sites and blogs. It will do this by studying the language used in relation to the NUJ Code of Conduct and comment on how heavily advertising appears in written content of travel literature. This aims to provide data based on opinion and fact which will give the question of ‘reliability’ balance and a fair approach, as ‘reliability’ is a difficult value to measure.

Qualitative research cannot always be replicated and the process cannot always be fixed beforehand.
The disadvantages of qualitative research are also that findings can be difficult to present in a visual way whilst it also hard to assess, demonstrate and maintain rigidity. Although this research will ensure rigour due its clear aims and objectives and clear research question. This type of research is not always accepted and understood by all communities such as the scientific communities (Occupy Theory 2014).
The research methods chosen also carry their own traits of strengths and weaknesses. The positive attributes of interviewing, is that questioning a subject obtains a unique response and perspective to a particular issue. The approach allows the subject to provide a firsthand, first-person account. Interviews are able to gather more complex data that is not as easily obtained through the use of quantitative research method in questionnaires. With interviews you are able to pose follow-up questions and elaborate on the subjects
