Film sets, cameras and props for example, green screen, special effect props, are prepared as a reference for cinematographer and film editor by using storyboards and concept drawings as a guide. This step may take a short time because all it needs to be done is to follow the plan and the concept design. After carrying out the plan and executing it thoroughly, it creates chance to work easily without any difficulties. Hence, the team proceeds to the next step. In the third step, the VFX team works alongside with the actors as the shooting begins. While and after the film shooting, the team gathers every data and information from the set such as film recordings, camera lens and positions for match moving process (Fariss 2015). This step can take several weeks to months depending on the pace of the film shooting. Next, the team scans the shot that needs visual effects and sends it to the studio. Assembling every important data, files and information builds work efficiencies and the continuation of the steps. So, the team moves on after after completing this …show more content…
Work starts to burden artists in the fourth step as they work on different shots using array of tools and techniques. “Workdays are usually at least 10 hours long. Deadlines are high-pressure and rarely flexible” (Middleton 2010). They edit the scanned shots and creates computer generated images, lighting effects, 3D renderings or animations and numerous techniques to change the atmosphere of the film. “Combined together, these techniques allow a visual effects team to create nearly anything that the director can imagine. It is an amazing set of tools” (Brain 2000). Alteration of almost genuinely impossible scenes into realistic scenes are what visual effect is special for. The fourth step allows to mould realistic environment, but the next step creates extra life in the realistic environment of the film. After completion of this crucial step, the team moves to the final
