However, most people who were already registered to vote were democrats. Most of the people that were democrats were African Americans. This could be because of striking issues like growth of economy, racism culture, unemployment, and wanting their voice to be heard in the society. I also noticed that mostly African Americans and Whites were either already registered to vote or wanted to sign up to vote. The media such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram, snapchat could play a vital role in educating young adults on the importance of voting. It could also be used to search up information’s about past elections and future elections. Furthermore, more young males should participate in voting because their voice matters. Participating in free and open election is essential for a stable and strong democracy. However, people who participate in free and open elections determines who needs to be elected in the office. The elected official makes decisions that affects the public indirectly or directly. I think everyone who is eligible to vote should participate because it gives people the opportunity to voice out their opinions. People who are eligible to vote choose not to vote because they think that their vote will not make a difference in the election. To vote for a representative, people need to know certain information about the party and this requires time. Most Americans who are students, hard science major, working several jobs, taking care of families, and a busy social life are too busy to search up this information on the representative therefore they may decide not to
