The Aztecs developed an intricate social and commercial organization that brought many of the region’s city-states under their control. The Mayans were the first to record their history in written language, which is rare in the time period. A writing system is necessary for a well-developed and advanced society because it gives better understandings to the descendants. Another educational advance was the development of the mathematic system. Math helped Mayan with trading and the currency. The Mayans also developed two very accurate three hundred and sixty five day calendars that were made after the movement of moon, star and the sun, for both religious purpose and agricultural purpose. Such invention was so important for the Maya civilization because they gave information about the changes that happen as people travel through the 365 days of the year.
