This quote by Colin Wilson has an obvious but hiding meaning to it. Men at times just deal with the miseries in life and don 't try to fix it, when the solution is quite easy. Instead of just hiding your feelings about the situation you should take the problem head on. The hidden part of the quote is like a cow we are paralyzed in the rain but we want to do something, but sometimes we fear the outcome. Fearing the outcome of your situation makes you less motivated to work towards a solution and want to make it better, rather than doing something about it many people often do nothing as the solution. Yes I do, because it explains exactly how the average person today handles the problems they face. Even I myself do this, and don 't realize in the end it makes the consequence even worse then what you expect. The other part I agree with is we try and conform to everyone else ideas and traits when we should be true to ourselves, and be unique. No two people are the same, in which everybody handles their difficulties in altered ways. By trying to conform to the world, we make it harder to decide for ourselves and feel just like "a cow standing in the rain". Which means we have no way in feeling what do to about the situation because of our choices of conformity to other 's opinions. In the end you need to just do what you feel is right even if that 's not what others want you to do. It could truly be the right answer for you, and if not you can try again and again to make it
