Music shouldn’t be censored anywhere, whether it’s at a birthday party or at a club. Why? Because people are capable of choosing whether they want to listen to it or not. It’s something that we call freedom, which goes along with our first amendment. The Bill of Rights states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” Music artists shouldn’t have to be concerned about their music being censored because they’re just trying to make a living off of people’s enjoyment of their music. Stuff like that can be very irritating more than anything only because everyone has their own life. But with that being said, everyone lives theirs differently and it’s hard to please everyone with certain types of music. If producers don’t get what they want, when they want, they will do anything in their right mind to destroy what they need to. For instance, recently this year, Tyga was sued by his producer. The reason he got sued for his song “Molly” was because he told his producer he would pay him upfront and in person and after the song was finished, but the producer didn’t receive anything, so he sued him. Maybe there was an understandable reason as to why he couldn’t pay when the producer wanted him to, but no one knows for sure except for Tyga.
