In general, it is the best solution to begin with for mild symptoms and as a stand by solution till a donor is accessible for a kidney transplant. Fortunately, it can be done at home with the help of a house doctor so patients will not be required to constantly go to the hospital. However, low blood pressure during hemodialysis is the most frequent difficulty experienced during this procedure and it can be accompanied by shortness of breath, lightheadedness, abdominal cramps, nausea or vomiting.
