The cashier slowly empties the bin, taking out a yellow piece of paper and then slowly places the money in the bag then ties the end as Lola snatches it out of his hand and says “Bye, Dad”. The green bag represents what I said previously, green connotes that the character believes the action they are doing is correct, in this case, Lola believes that stealing the money for Manni is the correct thing to do. The yellow piece of paper that the cashier took out, is the stress and anxiety that Lola held for getting the money being taken away. This shows the audience that now the only problem is to get out of the bank and get to Manni, giving us a sense of closure from before, when there was a lot of confusion. “With each repetition of Lola’s itinerary we become more familiar with elements of her environment, as with the levels of a computer game”. This is a binary opposite to Lola’s death scene in the first attempt. Manni questions Lola what she would do if he died. These death scenes represent the process of what goes on in our minds when watching this film, the ‘what if’ situations. In the first scene earlier on in the film, Lola questions Manni what if they have never met, and this scene is similar but the opposite. Similar in the sense of conversation but opposite in terms of character, such as in the first scene, Manni has his arm around Lola but in this scene it 's Lola with her arm around Manni. These scenes make us question ‘what if’ that small action in our life didn 't happen, and how a small action can change the future.
