Hopefully, my tuition/books will be paid for through scholarships and my parents. All other living expenses will be paid for with the money earned through part time jobs. Both financial planning and attending college is an adjustment for everyone. If I can afford to live on campus, the adjustment will be a huge for my entire family due to my health condition. I have been a Type 1 Diabetic since age nine. So with this in mind, making the transition to college, living on campus and being active in student life, coupled with maintaining my health will be life changing for me. Depending on myself to take care of my personal health will be a new experience because my family as always assisted with my medical needs and supplies. Like all parents, mine will worry, but they still want me to experience living on campus and learn to be more independent. Nonetheless, my living on campus can only occur provided I receive enough scholarships to cover that particular cost. My family’s home is located in the same city as the university I plan to attend. Therefore, living at home will be convenient and much cheaper, but it is certainly not my first choice as I wish to live on
