All people who have ever lived, no matter they are Christian or not, will be judged to determine their eternal fates (Matthew 5:29 – 30, John 5:25 – 29, Romans 14:10 – 12, Revelation 20:11 – 15 NIV). With sins that people have committed during their whole lives, they can never live in the Kingdom of God. So God will justify them and clear their sins at first. Justification is an action of declaring who receive Christ to be righteous, based on God’s sight (2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV). Justification is built up on shed blood of Jesus (Romans 5:9 NIV), He died for mankind’s sins and “by His wounds you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24 NIV). Through justification, people do not become righteous, but at least it pronounces them righteous. Next, God will give them new birth so that they can enter His kingdom. The old sinful souls will be left behind and replaced with a new spiritual existence. As Jesus declared in John 3:3: “No one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again” (NIV). God created a perfect plan but it can never be carried out if Christians do not follow God’s guides. Once they decide to be good again, they have to recognize that they are really sinful now, and they can do nothing on their own to warrant the forgiveness from God (Romans 3:23 NIV). The only way to be saved is completely having faith in Jesus Christ. Believing in the existence of Jesus is not enough, but they have to truly believe in everything about Him.
