These types of personalities are expected to be working in demanding professions and be socially withdrawn as a result producing stress.
In contrast type B personalities are unlikely to evaluate a stressor as something bad. They remain competent when dealing with circumstances peacefully and reasonably. Compared to type B personality, type A have a higher risk of suffering from health problems. This may possibly be because of the physical makeup of continuous stress, (i.e. heart disease) (Curtis, 2002). Then again it can be linked to coping methods that are utilized by the individual such as smoking which can damage their lungs and overall health.

Lazarus noticed that culture has a hand in the manner of how an individual understands the situation or stimulus; and how it impacts them. Some environments maybe culturally suitable for some people however not for anyone else; and this can trigger signs of stress for example irritation and nervousness. An extended contact with the stressor can affect the body physically as an increase of the heart rate, nausea etc.…. are indications of exhaustion (F. Douglas Scutchfield, 2003). Folkman and Lazarus illustrated by what means culture effect how we exhibit our emotions e.g. weeping. One of the most familiar signs of tension is supressing feelings that can cause additional strain and isolation from loved ones (Richard S. Lazarus, 1984). Due to isolation the person has no way of expressing their emotions and as a result make a person
